" Why don't you stare at me the way i stare at you?"
"..."
She giggles, looking at him, and away to the drum set beside her.
"Cause I don't stare, I gaze."
"Oh so that's why?"
They both giggled and exchanged a flirty and quirky glance. That was what they were known for, the cutest lovers, or shall I say more than friends but close to couple's lovers. They never knew that they would like each other, or even be together. They spent numerous nights on the phone with each other, and agreed that hanging up the phone was the toughest thing ever to be done. They send text messages to each other every single day, as it always seemed like years even when they don't talk for one particular day.
"I missed you. "
(He showed her his phone with a picture that writes" ***** misses someone" , drawn on the sand)
She knew what it meant. And that's him, always so sweet.
They sat at the special platform mainly for performances usage in the small hall, side by side. Silence prevailed. But there were no sense of awkwardness, everything was so calm and comfortable. There was only a little glass chandelier, dangling above them as it lets out a dim light.
The guy suddenly takes his phone, swipes it unlock again and started scrolling and he paused as he stops moving his finger, grinning.
"When a girl is in love, you can see it in her smile, when a guy is in love, you can see it in his eyes"
"So... Are you in love?" She grins and gave him a screwed eyebrow.
"Yea, I am"
"You know when you love someone and when you are in love with someone is radically a different thing."
"(Nods) Chimonology... *Which means deep*"
She giggles again. He may be childish at times, but I guess that's what attracts her to him. She wonders if he would be the One, and the thought flies away immediately. She doesn't want to think too much, yet, at least during that moment.
Enjoying the quietness of the tiny hall, and the presence of each other, simply makes her refreshed and rejuvenated, elated and blissful. Although they are just friends for now, very close friends, but sometimes, just sometimes, they just seemed to cross the line they wanted to draw, way passing through it. They didn't care or mind, because they just want to be together so badly.
"So, where do you wanna go this Sunday?" He asked.
"You decide."
"Anywhere is fine with me, as long as you are happy."
"But I want you to enjoy too, so i'm fine if you are fine."
Why are they always so indecisive. Like seriously, all the time.
He tossed her a "I've-got-an-idea-look", slipped his phone into his jeans pocket and stands up. The light falls on his face, so smart and cute. All she wanted to do was to throw her arms around him, to attain her desires of affectionate. But yet, she sat still, looking at him as he pats his jeans and briefly adjust his clothes.
"Take my hand."
"Why? Where are you going?" She asked in bewilderment.
" You'll see." He lets out a cheeky look
Just the way she likes it, he squeezed her tiny hand in an acceptable pressure, making her feel secure. They exited the hall, off to the lift and left the building, strolling down the tranquilest alley, under the street lights illuminating the place in a pearly glow, allowing the night humid breeze to kiss their faces, as their hair danced with it. Hand in hand, they put a sweet smile on their faces, enjoying the quietness again, feeling each other's heartbeat. It's fine even when there are no conversation engaged, all they wanted most was each other, as long as they are together, and together is what that matters the most.
