This was their first date. This cloud nine feeling couldn't be explained, emerging butterflies in their stomachs. The guy asked for a cup of hot coffee. The girl started to look at the menu to see what's the specialty for the day. She asked him what he would like to have. Panic punctured the air but still he stayed calm, raised his hand for the waiter and requested for some salt. The girl was furious about what the guy had done, thinking what's the salt for while there's still no food. He added some salt into his coffee and started to sip it, slow and steady. The girl couldn't contain her curiosity much longer and started to ask, why did he did so. He said he lived beside the sea while he was young and he missed that salty scent of the sea, that's why when he grew up, he had this manner of drinking coffee with salt. The girl was touched by the guy and believed that he is a person that sees his family importantly.
They tied the knot after some years dating. Ever since, when they ate in a restaurant, the wife would request for salt to be added into her husband's coffee.

Since the day we met, I was clear that you will be the special person in my life. There's one thing that I had always wanted to tell you but I was afraid that you will be mad at me. But now, I guess it's safe to tell, for by now, I had left to be with The Lord. On our first date, I was really nervous to talk to you. I didn't knew what I was doing or what I was going to say then I suddenly ask for some salt and told you my past, which was all what I had made up. Since being married to you, I started to drink coffee with salt everyday. But I have to say, I never regret having coffee with salt because in return, I had you. I am really sorry honey, please don't be mad. No matter how, I love you and it was really my honor to have such a wonderful wife like you.

Tears fell. Touched. And at last, a beautiful smile on the girl's face:) Coffee with salt is exactly like life. Life is indeed full with different elements of sweetness, bitterness, saltiness... But being together with the special partner that God had prepared is like you have an Angel with you to go through all the thick and thin in life.
