She then realised, it was her all the while who was giving less. She was the one being greedy, jealous, selfish.. She wants more. She wants him to be rich and highly educated. She wants him to be slightly braver to display his affection to her publicly. She wants him to be slightly more desperate for her like how her dad adores her mom. She wants him to choose her than to spend time with his friends. She wants his attention.
However, she had forgotten what she really wanted in a relationship. She had forgotten the reason that she first loved this guy. He is handsome and talented, but it was his loyalty, sincerity, understanding heart, patience, kindness, genuine personality that really drew her to him. She understood that no one else, in this world, would love her the way he had loved her. She may find another richer guy, but he may not understand her so well or share their sweater with her when she is cold. She may find another highly educated guy with a promising future, but he may be glued to other girls and doesn't even care when he flirts with other girls. But him. He is the only one, ever, who loved her in a way she has never been loved before. He is able to wait, although he wanted to kiss her, too. He respected her choices. He accepts her imperfections.
She stood up. She walks opposite him. Tear stains are still visible on his cheeks, his eyes looking away, a little fury but still, a little calm. She asked him to stand up. He did, still not wanting to look at her. "What is love?" She questioned him, as a tear rolled down her cheeks once more. He paused, swallowing his saliva down his throat, he moisten his lips with his tongue, sniffs and wipes the remaining tears near his chin, steadies himself. " Love. " He paused, knowingly that he may not be able to keep his tears in. He let out a deep sigh as he steadies himself again. "Love, is my feeling towards you. Its a responsibility." Crashed. This time, he really really cried. She had only seen a guy cry so desperately, so despair and so uncontrollably in movies but in real life, this was her first time. He turned his back against her, not wanting her to see him cry. At this moment in time, he is still able to gather himself and face this girl in front of him who once loved him, who still loves him in fact but broke his heart, savaging it, tearing it apart. He is hurt deeply by her because, because he loved her deeply. Despite being hurt, he still answers her question patiently with the rage and slight hatred, stirring in his heart. She cried, too. She expected flowery words like the ones in the movies, but instead, it was so simple, sincere and genuine, like him. "A responsibility..." She nods and then continues, " Love, is staying when you wanted to leave. " She caresses his face, wiping away the tears. "Love, is being loyal despite the distractions. Love, is being understanding and patient even when you completely, just don' t agree with the decisions this girl, standing right in front of you have just made. " She was literally shouting, and then they both burst into tears. She then said in a soft but audible voice. "You, made me understand what love really is. You made me understood God's love for me." She threw her arms around his neck, hugged him, tightly. "I don't want to leave you." He said as he hugged her back. " I'll not leave you, ever again"
